Hawera Scouts Centennial Labour Weekend
Planned to coincide with the centennial of the formation of the first scout troop in Hawera in 1909, this celebration and reunion is for anyone who has ever been connected in any way and in any of the Scout Groups South Taranaki.

REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!

The programme:
FRIDAY OCTOBER 23
7.30pm Happy Hour – Informal gathering at the Hawera Club.
SATURDAY OCTOBER 24
1pm – 4pm An informal 'Open Hall' at the Albion Street Hall for everyone to drop in and catch up with everyone else over tea, coffee and nibbles. Old photos, committee minute books and other memorabilia will be available to relive those 'good old days' – so bring along yours. We will also have a file of messages received from those who are unable to be there in person. Present members of the Group will entertain with some Scouting activities.
Guided walks around Nowells Lake Wetlands Project are planned during the afternoon, too. This is a project that Scouts have been actively involved in to mark the centennial of World Scouting in 2007. No charge at the walkway. A minibus shuttle service will operate or make your own way there.
7.30pm A centennial dinner at the Hawera Club. A full 3-course dinner with wine.
Donations to a Centennial Project Fund to purchase some new camping and outdoor equipment for today’s members will be appreciated.

Saturday October 24 Tea, coffee and finger food nibbles
Open Hall at the Albion Street Hall, 1-4pm

Free minibus shuttle from the Hall Guided trips to the Nowells
Lake Wetland Project, 1-4pm

Fully-catered 3-course meal Centennial Dinner with wine at the Hawera Club, 7.30pm

A Centennial Pack including a souvenir mug and other items, is included in the registration fee

Register any time before September 20, 2009, with a non-refundable deposit of $25 per head
The balance of $25 is payable by September 30 (Make payment in full now ($50 per head) if you wish).
Late registrations will be received after September 20, but will be charged an additional $10 per head.

Kelburn Scouts turn 100
We are turning 100

The 1st Kelburn 1909 Scout Group in the Wellington Zone turns 100 this year. Celebrate with us as we mark a century of continuous presence in our Kelburn community. Brooklyn Scouts 100 YEARS 4th July 2009
Brooklyn Scouts was constituted in July 1909.

This year they are celebrating 100 years of service to the youth of Brooklyn.They will be having their centennary celebrations over the weekend of 4th of July 2009. Supported by Tommy's Real Estate.

3rd July Friday night dinner; 4th July Saturday Street Parade, Hall open to the public, youth activities.
